As an Ohio wedding photographer, I’ve captured weddings at many gorgeous venues. But when Mariam & Connor told me they were planning to say “I do” at WatersEdge Event Center I knew this was going to be a celebration to remember. From the moment I arrived until the newlyweds raced off into their happily ever after, WatersEdge in Columbus was beautiful, helpful, and timely.
The first time I saw Mariam in her dress, she literally looked like a princess. She looked so pretty and as soon I told her she looked like a princess she immediately responded with, “That’s the goal!” Mariam & Connor surrounded themselves with fun, loving, and super supportive people for their special day. Mariam’s aunt was even the officiant and made sure to place the couple out of the sun for their ceremony.
Mariam and Connor also added some personal touches to their wedding. From changing into matching sneakers after the ceremony and having their favorite donuts as snacks for their guests during the reception.

Having Kayla as our wedding photographer was such a gift!! We were looking not only for someone that could take beautiful pictures but someone that could capture different skin tones well and handle a mix of cultures. I really appreciated that she offered helpful ideas while respecting our preference to do some things in a non-traditional way.
