A few weeks ago on a cruise down the River Thames, these two love birds got engaged. I got to capture their love on camera when they were back in Ohio. Melanie and Cody have both been my friends for years and it’s so exciting to help them commemorate this next chapter in their lives. We even snuck in a reference from their favorite London dweller, a young wizard.
For this session I tried something new: posing prompts. For those of you who are unfamiliar, posing prompts utilize telling clients to DO something while you take their photos instead of posing them. I am shocked by how using prompts like, give her a piggyback ride, created such genuine reactions from this couple. I’m excited to come up with more prompts and use this technique in future photo sessions.
