Indoor-Night Photography

This photo was taken inside with no natural lighting. The only lights in the room were from three lamps (one lamp being this one). The first thing I did to set up for this shot was change the white balance setting on a Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi. I changed the white balance setting to ‘Tungsten’. While doing this I set the ISO to 1600. This photo was shot in ‘AV’ (aperture priority) mode. I zoomed in to a focal length of 53mm, focused on the bulb and shot. The shot I got looked liked this:

Lamp Straight out of Camera

(NOTE: SOOC means ‘Straight out of Camera’)

With a little editing in Photoshop CS, this was the final product:

Solo Lamp
